Simon & Allie Carl
Simon and Allie know the challenges of living life as a couple in a firefighter marriage.

Simon and Allie Carl have been married for 12 years and live in Urbandale with their 4 kids. Simon is a firefighter and paramedic for the Johnston-Grimes Fire District. Allie has the toughest job of all, staying home as a full-time mother. They have attended IIH conferences and date nights since its inception. The advice, love and connection that IIH has given each year has only ever helped our marriage grow and thrive. It's a blessing to be a part of such an organization.
JC & Anne Risewick
JC is married to his wife, Anne, and they share three children together.

JC Risewick has almost 20 years of experience in human resources, sales and executive level leadership. He is currently the President and Chief Operating Officer of Seneca Companies, a family-owned company providing a variety of services and solutions around the fuel systems industry.
Anne’s professional career spanned 15 years prior to stepping back to focus on her family. She has passion for building and leading teams as well as experience in marketing, education, policy development and communications.
Rich & Kati Higgins
Rich and Kati Higgins have been married since 2001 and currently have three children: Kaylee, Malia and Caleb.

They live in Ames where Rich is the Fire Chief for the Ames Fire Department, and Kati is the Senior Accountant at Skinner & Associates. As a couple they enjoy spending time together out on the water and keeping up with all the kid’s different activities. Rich and Kati recognize the challenges that working in the fire service can have on a marriage, which is why they have a passion for strengthening marriages within the fire service.
Ray Webster, MD
Ray has been married to Sarah for 50 years. Together they’ve been blessed with 4 children & 12 grandchildren.

Ray Webster MD, MPH Ray is a retired Preventive Medicine/Administrative Medicine physician. He held dual civilian and military careers, serving as Chief Medical Director for three large financial services organizations, and serving in the US Air Force and Iowa Air National Guard as a flight surgeon, commander, State Air Surgeon and General Officer at the National level. His civilian and military careers spanned 33 and 36 years respectively. During his many years of military service he observed firsthand the stress civilian first responder and military careers place on marriages. He’s been married to his wife Sarah for 50 years, with whom they’ve been blessed with and celebrate life with their 4 children/spouses and 12 grandchildren.
Dr. Gary Rosberg
Co-Founder, Chairman Emeritus of Impact Iowa’s Heroes.

Dr. Gary & Barb Rosberg are the co-founders of America’s Family Coaches and have been coaching marriages across the USA and worldwide for almost 40 years. Authors of more than a dozen books, former radio broadcasters and international speakers on the family, Gary and Barb are passionate about serving first responders and military marriages. Their 6 year mission, Honoring America’s Heroes, served 20 wounded warriors and their spouses and capped 15 years of serving military marriages.
In the wake of five central Iowa officers in 2016, Dr. Gary and Barb co founded Impact Iowa’s Heroes. In the fall of 2017, 2018, and 2019 24 hour marriage getaways were held for Iowa’s first responders and military marriages: honoring the fallen and strengthening marriages.
Today they are leading the training of professional marriage coaches in their message, The Great Marriage Experience, through the International Christian Coaching Institute (iccicoaching.com). Barb and Gary are both certified as Master Christian life and marriage coaches and serve on the faculty and Executive Board for ICCI.
They share their time between Wheaton, Illinois and Des Moines, Iowa loving their two daughters’ families including 12 grandchildren.
