Future MArriage Coaches

Impact Iowa’s Heroes has invested in five couples to become certified marriage coaches through the International Christian Coaching Institute (ICCI). These coaches have received training and mentorship to become certified life coaches through an extensive credentialing and development process administered by ICCI. Impact Iowa’s Heroes is now investing in these couples to receive additional training to become marriage coaches through the coaching and mentorship of Dr. Gary and Barb Rosberg in partnership with ICCI. We appreciate their commitment and are excited for them to be a future resource for Hero couples in Iowa. Here are your future Impact Iowa’s Heroes marriage coaches:

Mike & Jennifer Colby

Mike and Jennifer have been married 17 years and both serve in public safety. Mike has been in law enforcement for 21 years and is the Police Captain at the Clear Lake Police Department. Jennifer has been dispatching for 19 years, working part time at the Clear Lake Police Department and full time at their church. Together, they have three children.

 

Aaron & Tricia Groves

Aaron and Tricia Groves live in Newton, IA with their three children. Aaron medically retired from law enforcement in 2020 after serving 17+ years with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office. Together, their marriage has persevered through 15 years of crazy schedules, stress, trauma, and kids! Aaron and Tricia enjoy sharing their story and how they have grown closer through the challenges of being in a law enforcement marriage. They are excited to coach other couples and help marriages go from surviving to thriving.

 

Cody & Brandi Eckles

Cody and Brandi Eckles are from Harlan, Ia. They have been married for 13 years and have 3 daughters. Cody is the Chief Deputy for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and Brandi is a 5th grade teacher and coach at Harlan Community Schools. They are active in their church and have been active with Impact Iowa’s Heros since its inception. They believe that first responder marriages are unique and hope to help couples keep their marriages from adding to the already stressful life of being a first responder.

Steve & Becki Freeman

Steve and Becky have been married for almost 30 years and have four amazing kids and a daughter in law. Steve pastors Calvary Chapel Living Hope in West Des Moines where Becky oversees the Ladies and Children’s ministries. Steve is a Chaplain with WDM Police, Fire, and EMS. Becky volunteers with the USO at Camp Dodge. Steve also works in the Insurance Industry and Becky works at Scheels. They love serving with the team at Impact Iowa’s Heroes.

 

Dale & Heidi Hight

Dale and Heidi Hight live in Ankeny, IA. Dale serves as a pastor at their church and Heidi serves at their church as the Assistant Children’s Director. They have been married for almost 19 years and have three boys. Dale has deployed overseas twice and retired from the Iowa Army National Guard full time force after over 20 years of service in 2021. They have experienced the unique dynamics and challenges associated in many military marriages and hope to help other military couples navigate through these challenges.
