Marriage Getaway HERO COUPLEs Highlights

Aaron & the Impact Iowa’s Heroes Team,

We have now had the wonderful opportunity to attend all four of the Impact Iowa’s Heroes conferences. We have loved each one and always leave looking forward to the next one. This time was different for us. Each year we have come in a different place in our marriage, some years we were doing good and other times it has been very hard. There have been times in the past we didn’t always want to listen or even do the activities with each other. Each year no matter where we have been in our marriage though we have always left with great materials and notes on things that we really need to work on. I am in tears as I write this because this year for the first time we came and we were not just good we were great. As the speakers spoke we were so encouraged, we were motivated, and we were blessed. One part that really stood out to both of us were the panels. The couples that were sharing were so authentic and emotional it hit home for us. Through this last conference we loved getting new skills from both Dr. Mark Mayfield and John Trent and Kari Trent Stageberg. Both had our attention from the beginning and were hitting home for us with very relevant messages. We loved having the opportunity to be together and just take it all in and again leave with new tools we did not have before. I have to add my husband was intently listening to everything Dr Mayfield taught us about the brain, possibly his favorite part. Now being able to look back over the last 4 conferences we can really see the change in us and the growth in our marriage. We are so thankful for this opportunity and we love being a part of something so needed in the public safety area! Thank you for all the work and everything that went into the conference, it is for sure changing lives and helping marriages!
